Gaelic Football

Everything you need to know about gaelic football at the University of Manchester.

About

We currently offer Gaelic Football through our sport club programme. Our University of Manchester Gaelic Football Club works hard to provide opportunities for players both new to the sport and within our BUCS programme to support those who want to perform in high level university competition. Whilst we don’t currently offer Gaelic football through our Sporticipate or our Sport League programmes, we are constantly reviewing how we can get more students involved in sport.

All the information you need to know about Gaelic Football should be here but if you do have any further questions, we would love to hear from you.

Gaelic Football Club

The University of Manchester Gaelic Athletic Club consists of both a men’s and women’s team who compete in BUCS and BU GAA league and championship each year. With people of all levels welcome it is a great opportunity to take up a new sport or to meet fellow Irish students. We organise plenty of social events in conjunction with the Irish society for those interested in joining in a non-playing capacity.

Club Philosophy

“Ní neart go cur le chéile” – Irish proverb meaning there is no strength without unity.
