Drop-in Classes

Drop-in classes start week commencing 5th September 2011. Classes are available to book at the Sugden Sports Centre reception or online at www.sugdensportscentre.com. Already a member of the Sugden Centre? If so, all drop-in classes (excluding Pay Instructor classes) are included in your membership.

Aerobics

This is a good old traditional workout to music, no complicated moves just simple steps and jumps guaranteed to get your heart pumping, burn fat and get you fit.

Aikido - Pay Instructor £5.00

Wednesday 6:15-8:15pm

This is one of the most spiritual, non aggressive martial arts which focuses on controlling energy within your body to gain control over movements.

Body Conditioning

Thursday 4:30-5:30pm

This combination of aerobics, skipping and weights is designed to improve your all round fitness and strength. It is the ideal workout if you exercise regularly.

Boot Camp

Sunday 2:00-3:00pm

This military style workout combined with one of the most effective forms of cross training, is a must to get you fitter and faster. The session involves shuttle runs, jump jacks, push-ups, kick-boxing, sit-ups and lots more.

Boxercise

Friday 12:00-1:00pm

Boxercise is one of the most effective forms of cross-training and uses both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems to ensure a diverse workout, also improves hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing.

Bums & Tums

Monday 1:00-2:00pm

Wednesday 1:00-2:00pm

This low impact class focuses on strengthening the key muscles and toning the buttocks, thighs and stomach. Great for beginners!

This high intensity workout is ideal for developing your all-round fitness. Aerobic and resistance exercises such as sprints, press-ups and weights are performed at a series of work stations.

Cardio Kick Boxing - Pay Instructor £3.90

A popular martial art which employs kicks, throws, body turns, dodges and holds. You will be taught by Chris Boughy, England team coach for the World Kickboxing Association for the past 12 years.

Kick Aerobics

Sunday 1:00-2:00pm

Work up a sweat with this fast, furious and high energy workout that combines martial arts kicks and punches with aerobics in a safe workout environment.

Yoga

This low impact workout uses controlled movements to ease muscle tension, improve flexibility and enhance your strength, balance and endurance.

Zumba™ Dance

The infectious rhythms and simplified dance patterns of Zumba™ combine the dance styles of salsa, mambo, samba, bhangra, belly dance, flamenco, reggaeton, rhumba, calypso and hip hop, creating the ultimate body conditioning and fat burning session.
