Study Space at Armitage
To support our students at Fallowfield Campus, we have opened up the Armitage Centre for booking of study space. There are only limited spaces available but we will provide slots when the facility is open Monday to Friday 0900 – 1700.
The facility continues to support any activities that are Covid-secure and our study spaces are no different. We therefore ask that all students follow the same rules as attending study spaces in libraries.
Health and Safety
- You are required to wear a face covering at all times in the Armitage Centre, even while seated at a study space. This does not apply to those with medical conditions who are not able to wear face coverings.
- Failure to wear a face covering (unless exempt) may result in you being asked to leave the building.
- Once inside, face coverings do not replace social distancing, so you should still maintain a two-metre distance from people not in your support bubble.
- You must sanitise your hands when you enter the buildings, and wipe down all study spaces before and after you use them using the cleaning products provided.

Booking and Availability
All bookings are processed through our normal booking system and can be accessed 24/7 online via the booking button or visiting https://sportonline.manchester.ac.uk/bookings. You must be setup as an account holder to make a booking which current users of the centre will already have or you can e-mail us to request a login for online booking.
Bookings are run on a first come, first serve basis and may be withdrawn from students who fail to attend sessions to ensure availability for all students. Booking times are in line with on campus 0900-1230 and 1300-1630. Additional sessions may be added and students are also encouraged to book sessions at https://www.library.manchester.ac.uk/locations-and-opening-hours/study-spaces/booking/.
