UOM Sport Shortlisted for CUBO 2020 Award
We are pleased to announce that UoM Sport have been shortlisted for Excellence in Student Sport 2020 CUBO Award for our Resfit Gym Membership initiative in 2019.
The University of Manchester (UoM) ResFit initiative enabled all students living in UoM Halls of residence in 2019 access to a free silver gym membership for semester one at the Armitage Sports Centre situated on the Fallowfield Campus. The aim is to support students to be more active, increase participation and engagement in physical activities and to promote health and wellbeing whilst living on campus. The free membership included access to gym facilities, free gym inductions, and discounted access to all sports facilities. For the more active students, this initiative offered a heavily subsidised upgrade to the Gold gym package with additional benefits.
The award winner will be announced at an online ceremony on Thursday 3rd December.
