Induction

FREE for all Active Manchester Members

Our personalised one-to-one session with a qualified fitness instructor is the perfect way to get started or to deepen your understanding of our gym facilities. Whether you’re completely new to the gym or looking to refine your technique, this session can be tailored to your needs.

You can choose between a general or targeted induction:

  • General Induction: Ideal for beginners, this induction covers all the main areas of our fitness suite—including cardiovascular machines, resistance equipment, free weights, and functional exercises. Your instructor will demonstrate how to safely operate each machine and guide you through proper exercise techniques.
  • Targeted Weight Training Induction: If you’re interested in strength training, this option focuses on teaching you how to use equipment like Olympic benches, squat and power racks, and dumbbells. Learn the correct form and function of foundational lifts such as squats, deadlifts, and bench presses, helping you build confidence and train safely.

Session Overview:

  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour
    (Includes a brief consultation followed by 45 minutes of hands-on gym instruction)
  • Fully adaptable to your fitness level and goals

Personal Workout Programme

FREE for all Active Manchester Members

Whether you’re training for your next 5K or aiming to increase your one-rep max, our personalised workout programmes are designed to support and guide you towards your fitness goals.

Each programme begins with an initial consultation, including a 45-minute session with one of our qualified fitness instructors. During this session, your instructor will walk you through your tailored programme, offering expert advice on exercise technique, training intensity, and how to perform movements safely and effectively.

To keep you on track, you can book a review session every six weeks – helping you stay motivated and make consistent progress on your fitness journey.
