Campus Sport Basketball

If you are not tempted by joining our Athletic Union Basketball Clubs, did you know you can play more informal competition as part of our intra-university Campus Basketball sport league every week.

If you are a beginner, returning to Basketball or just want to play recreationally in a league, Campus Sport is the ideal environment for you to develop your skills and build the confidence you need to take the next step and represent the University!

About the league

The Campus Sport Basketball League is mixed; teams must have a 4-1 split in sexes, in favour of either, on the court at any one time. In addition, both students and staff are welcome to enter. The league runs from October to April and matches are played on Fridays, 8:00-10:00pm, at the Sugden Sports Centre.

Team captains are invited to attend a pre-season meeting, at the Sugden Sports Centre. At this meeting teams received all relevant league information for the year, including a handbook and league fixtures. For more information contact campus.sport@manchester.ac.uk or drop into the UoM Sport office on Oxford Road.
