About
The University of Manchester XXI (21) Club was formed in 1932 to recognise and promote sporting excellence at the University.
Traditionally, elite sport athletes at the University were selected for membership of the Club.
Many members have gained Full Performance Colours for representing the University and have excelled at British Universities or at National or International level of sport. In 2005, election to the XXI Club was extended to UoM Sport Club Committee members in line with the University recognising their dedication to serving their clubs in an administrative role.
Each year, the club elects up to 21 outstanding student athletes and 21 administrators for service to their sport, at the annual UoM Sport Awards and XXI Club Dinner.
Hall of Fame
The UoM Sport Hall of Fame is our most prestigious award, recognising the achievements and contributions of athletes, coaches and supporting staff who have excelled in a long-standing career in Sport.
Our Hall of Fame inductees have demonstrated outstanding success and achievement in their sport or relevant field during their time at the university and gone on to succeed and/or make a significant contribution in their chosen sport or field post-graduation on a national/international stage over a longer period of time.
